Beacon Chiropractic, established January of 2003, in Commerce, Texas, is owned and operated by Eric G. Russell, D.C. Dr. Russell is a 1996 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and is very active in the Chiropractic profession.

Dr. Russell is very active in the Commerce community. He serves as a Board of Director for several organizations including the Commerce Chamber of Commerce and the Commerce Economic Development Corporation. Dr. Russell is also the Past-President of the Commerce Lion’s Club and a past board member of the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum.

Dr. Russell presently holds several positions, such as:

• President of the Chiropractic Society of Texas
• Board of Directors of the ICA Council of Chiropractic Philosophy
• Editor of “The Spinal Column,” newsletter of the Chiropractic Society of Texas
• Former Board of Director of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA)
• Past - President of the Texas Palmer College of Chiropractic International Alumni Association
• Past - President of the Loyal Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers.

A published author and speaker of Chiropractic, Dr. Russell has received several awards and recognition for his work in Chiropractic. They include:

• 2000 Illinois Chiropractor of the Year by the Illinois Prairie State Chiropractic Association
• Outstanding Service from Chiropractic Society of Texas (2007)
• Student Recruitment Award from Palmer College of Chiropractic (2003)
• ICA Assembly Representative of the Year (2002)
• Two time recipient of the ICA State Leadership Award (2000 and 2001)
• Elected a Distinguished Fellow by the ICA. (2001)

Dr. Russell and his wife, Dr. Yvonne Villanueva-Russell, an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Texas A&M University-Commerce, along with their son Blake live in Commerce.
